So I've tried several different sesame flavored ramens, with mixed results. I expect it to be greasy to a degree, but it doesn't need to be like eating a bowl of cooking oil. Nissin Demae ramen is usually pretty good stuff so I'm anxious to give this one a try.
So we have a slightly bigger than average noodle block, a seasoning pack and a sesame oil pack. Pretty straightforward, so we press on.
Cooked these up nice in a pot on the stove. Looks pretty good and smells pleasant... cooked the noodles a little extra to get them to where I like them as I usually do. Nissin Demae noodles are a little bit thicker than standard noodles so you may want to do the same. These are very, very good. I've reviewed two other sesame oil flavor noodles, one not bad, one terrible. This one is the best by far. Just the right amount of sesame oil flavor balanced out with other oriental style flavors make this ramen a very tasty bowl indeed. I'm giving these a 10/10. Definitely the best sesame flavored ramen I've ever eaten.
